Celebrations and Traditions
Birthdays
Birthdays are a big deal at camp! If you celebrate your birthday at camp you will wake up to a sign made specially for you by your counselor. You’ll also receive a special camp shirt. At dinner we all sing Happy Birthday- Kennolyn style and your cabin gets a homemade cake.
Multi-Year Campers
Campers who have been with us for 5 years or more receive a special gift at the end of their session. Believe it or not, some campers even make it to double digits! The 10 year camper fleece is a huge honor that only a handful of campers receive each year.
Golden Sponge
The Golden Sponge is a special award given to the cleanest cabins at the end of each session. During their time with us campers take turns completing chores to make sure the cabin is kept clean. Cabins are inspected each activity day by our leadership team. Winning the Golden Sponge is a difficult task but it is one of the most rewarding parts of camp
