75th Reunion postponed
We still feel there will be too many restrictions on travel and large gatherings for us to plan an in-person reunion this Fall. We will continue to wait for a better time when we can all be together. Even if wait to celebrate our 80th year of Kennolyn, it will be better when we can celebrate the way we want to. Below are the details of our original plan which we will adapt and update as we move forward.
Previous Plan
All former STAFF and CAMPERS welcome! Bring your family. Enjoy fun activities, see old friends, relive awesome camp memories, enjoy campfire and all your favorite camp songs. Overnight registration and RSVP for meals and events will be available. Register as an alumni above or look at our social media for updates.
Tentative Schedule
Friday | 6pm | Kick Off BBQ |
7:30pm | Concert-Phil Cisneros, acclaimed singer songwriter and Kennolyn counselor 1972 to 1976. Read more about Phil here. Special Guest, Peter Daldry.
Saturday | 10am | Caldwell Foundation 1946 meters (1.946k) run/walk. Uphill or downhill options. Help us raise money for camp scholarships! |
1pm-3pm | Activities open. Follow a schedule and try archery, climbing, and our famous village ropes course. Or just relax at the pool or around camp. |
|
4pm | Social Hour | |
5pm | Campfire | |
6:30pm | Dinner for overnight guests
Sunday | 10am | Ducky Derby. A newer Kennolyn tradition, the Ducky Derby is our annual 4th of July showpiece event. Adopt a rubber duck and cheer as your adopted bird cascades down our specially constructed raceway. |
11am | Hikes to Big Tree, Bates Creek/Grover Gulch, and to the newly expanded portion of the property.
1-3pm | One more chance for activities and to gather with friends old and new.
3pm | Goodbye until next time! |
Join Kennolyn and The Max and Marion Caldwell Foundation as we have FUN and FUNdraise. Stay Fri and/or Sat night or simply stop by for one of the many events throughout the weekend.
Throughout the weekend, special events will be held for campers and staff from specific eras. If you would like to act as a host for one of these events, please let us know andrew@kennolyn.com. You can arrange anything you want to for your group during the weekend. Each event can be as simple as a gathering in the Lodge with coffee and old photos, or a hike, or special time at campfire. Ask for more information.
Please drop us a line at camps@kennolyn.com if you’d like to be added to our mailing list. We will also post updates on our Facebook page, so be sure to ‘like’ Kennolyn…and tell your friends! Also, check out our Alumni Facebook Page!
