Lindsey’s Quick Camp Update!

As usual, in between our major blog posts, we will bring you a simple update about what’s going on at Kennolyn.

  • I hope some of you were able to read about the National Day of Unplugging and were able to make an effort to unplug (at least a little!). I hard a hard time not having access to my phone while we had our kids going in multiple directions, BUT it did encourage us to have a game night that evening which we hadn’t done in a long time. We had so much fun that we did a second one on Sunday. It made us realize that we want to make that a Sunday evening tradition because it created SO many laughs. I learned that there is an updated version of Cranium that will be fun for kids.
  • Today, a bright, smiling Kelly Espinosa walked into the office as our new Day Camp Director! She brings decades of camp experience from her years at The Harker School and Ojai Valley School. Our wonderful previous Day Camp Director Allison Lloyd is transitioning into a new role at Kennolyn that gives her more time with her kids as they are getting older. Allison is able to work closely with Kelly on Day Camp as we transition. We are really excited to have Kelly as a part of our team!
  • Lastly, I am looking forward to our St Patick’s Day event next Tuesday where we invite our neighbors up for a fun evening to get to know each other better – I hope they all wear green! Then we’ll be in Lafayette next Thursday at the Powell family’s home to meet new campers and get to see returning ones too.
