Santa Cruz Overnight Camp
Grades 1-3 (Juniors)
These campers have counselors who are especially talented in providing the support and attention that our youngest campers need. For added reassurance to the parents, counselors call home after the first few days of camp to give an update.
Junior Campers start their three activity days a week with two periods together, allowing for extra flexibility if they need a little more time to get ready or ease into the day. First, they head out for Forest Explorers, hiking through different spots in the woods, with Monkey Palace as their first and most popular! Next, they enjoy Junior Camper Pool Hangout, when the pool is reserved just for them. Each day is a little different, with the flexibility to choose what games they’d like to play and enjoy their pool time their way. After their first two activities, Junior Campers can choose from four additional activities to round out their day.
With two counselors in every cabin and Junior Campers limited to seven campers per cabin, there is the level of supervision you would want and expect. Our staff understand the developmental needs of our youngest campers. We also understand that if a camper is ready and excited for camp, this is the VERY BEST age to start at overnight camp.
